I got one of those calls while traveling. Since I had a several hour drive on the interstate, I decided to see how far I could string them along. I even went so far as to tell the guy I was going to use my company phone to call my wife and have her transfer funds so I could directly send the "fees" to him. He waited patiently while I placed the make believe call with him listening in. I was able to string him along for about 40 minutes until the greed gave way to common sense and he realized I was screwing with him. At that point he said words in a foreign language that I assume was not kind and I responded with a nice description of his mother's fondness of farm animals before he hung up. What a great way to pass the boring interstate miles.

I strung one along for a couple of days with fake WU money transfer numbers. I just kept acting stupid (not hard) about what the problem was. I got tired of it after a while and just insisted WU said he received the money and he better send me mine and then I just started laughing......
