Some of you may have figured out that I am fond of those old Owlhead revolvers. The latest find ticks about all the uncommon Iver Johnson boxes. A "large frame" two inch barrel Cycle Model, blue instead of the standard nickel finish, and six shots of .32 S&W Long. Not bad looking for a gun that left Fitchburg in 1912. First third of the Twentieth Century .32 S&W Long was considered an adequate police duty cartridge. Did crooks take less shooting or did old time cops place them better?
