Never thought I would see the day when Taurus revolvers garnered more respect than S&W revolvers.

The S&W Performance Center is no longer in existence. It is simply a name added to specific inventory more or less a marketing item.
I will say it does sound strange to have this kind of luck with three separate purchases. S&W will make it right.

They can't really make it "right" after making it wrong because they won't compensate for the hassle. When you pay top dollar for a product, you expect to get a quality. It has not happened to me with any Smith products, but if it did, I would be quite sore about it. I wouldn't expect that kind of record from Taurus.

Nah, I had a Taurus .454 Casul, was a piece of junk. Sent it back to the factory, not much better when I got it back. Sold it ASAP. Don

My last three S&W products have all been vintage. Sadly, I will not buy a new product from them.

A customer ordered a Performance Center 500 at my buddy’s gun shop. Neither of us could push the thumb latch forward. He sent it back.

These days he inspects all guns that come into his shop. Especially Smith.
