J. DEWEY MANUFACTURING - TOP NOTCH !!

I just wanted to write a short thread about J. Dewey Gun Cleaning Rods based out of Southbury CT. The J. Dewey brand of rods are the ONLY ones I have used over the past 15 years and they have always performed perfectly. They are (IMHO) about the best cleaning rod in the business and I have eight of them in different lengths, materials and diameters.

On Friday I came back from the Range and went to clean one of my M19's and the 6 1/2" stainless steel pistol rod just broke off of the handle. It is made of solid stainless steel and is probably 15 years old, but it just gave way. I made a call and spoke to Mr. Dewey, and by the time we were done chatting, he had grabbed a new one and was packaging it up for shipment to me. NOW THAT IS SERVICE!!

In this day of voice mails, e-mails, recording, etc. it was very refreshing to actually get the owner answering a call on the second ring and happily resolving an issue I had with his product. TOP NOTCH PRODUCT AND SERVICE!!

Rare thing indeed!

Hi chief38,
Thats a pretty rare thing nowadays, what with throwaway this, that and the other. Over here in the UK its almost impossible to find any decent gun shops that sell quality goods with good customer care, although saying that, the shooting community are becoming more demanding so some shops are beginning (slowly) to think about what it is they're selling. Should be good for everyone. Glad to hear of your good experience!
