I like that but I have to ask, shouldn't the chart show the Model 36 in nickel finish, too?

Because this is a table of only .38/.357s. Notice there's no .22s, 32s, 9mm's, 40's, 41s, 44s, 44-40s, 460s, 500s, etc.Unfortunately, the 29, 57, and 58 are incognito. I guess we like it that way

Only problem I see is I have a J frame marked M360J and it is chambered for .38 not .357. So, I would say the chart is an informative guideline

The model 60 hasblack sight or adjustable sights the chart apparently identify stainless sights.

Isn’t the 2005 520 a carbon steel frame? I know they have a titanium cylinder, but the gun weighs about 37oz.

The majority of Model 60s are fixed sight, stainless. Later variations do include some with black adjustable sights.

Well, this is a nice set of charts to have, realizing there are a few mistakes in them. The author of the article states:
"So instead of one big comprehensive chart for every Smith & Wesson revolver ever made, I’m offering this smaller bite-sized chunk: every post-1957 .38 Special and .357 Magnum revolver from S&W that officially entered full-scale production."
Take the K-frame chart, for example. The Model 14 has two errors. First, S&W did not advertise or label the 14 as a "Target" Masterpiece. Second, many thousands of 14s did NOT have a full lug barrel as the chart indicates. To be fair, however, the author did indicate in the narrative that the full lug barrel was offered in newer models. Although he did continue to mistakenly call it a Target Masterpiece in the narrative.
"Mistakes" aside, these are handy charts to have for reference. Just don't take everything in them as gospel.

Nice find!! It is a very useful reference. I copied and saved the four charts as a pdf.

You know, I haven’t read the full article yet, but the part I read said the guy acknowledged he’s not an S & W expert and welcomes feedback for improving the charts. We have a lot of expertise here, but good for him for putting it together.

If they could add in one of the corners for each entry, the weight in ounces or grams, that would helpful.

The article is pretty good. Can not put all options on one chart, not enough room.
The list per model number is nice.
The details such as sights can be confirmed by viewing the S&W web page for current offering.
