I am looking at buying a new M60 with 2 inch barrel and would like to know how the sights are regulated. I have an M442, and am under the impression that the sights are regulated for 125 gr loads. I prefer 148 gr wad cutter loads, probably BB hard cast at about 750 FPS. My 442 shoots quite high with the faster, heavy loads, maybe 8 inches at 50 feet. I know that it is a short range gun, but, for a primary, it may be necessary to use at longer ranges, if that is the situation. Anyone know what range the steel "J" frames shoot to?

Thanks,
rat

You guys have much steadier hands than me! I'm generally not too worried about a couple of inches when shooting with a 2-inch barrel at 25 yards. I'm pleased as punch if I'm able to hit a dinner plate sized target area.

I've seen the YouTube video of the Bob Munden shooting his J-frame at 200 yards. If I'm that far away, I'll just wait awhile to see if the bad guy is coming towards me. I can barely see that far.

When I'm shooting a snubnose I rarely practice beyond 10 yards. When shooting my 627 Model of 1989, I am comfortable shooting at 25 yards. That extra 3.5 inches of barrel makes a huge difference!
