J-Frame Grips and Speed Loaders

I have Hogue Bantam grips on my 642. They clear the speedloader and look and feel good.

Yeah, but . . . then what would all of us folks who like the appearance of wood and also like to "tinker" do with all that extra spare time?

These are Altamont Rosewood combat grips. I like them, but I did have to invest five hours modifying the left grip, so my speed loaders would work.

I have Altamont Rosewood Oversized and have been considering a similar bit of trim work.

I do o.k. with the strips, but cannot seem to get the timing down.
