J-Frame Hammer

I have to replace the hammer on a MOD. 36 no dash, because someone sawed off half of it. Do I have to replace the sear also? Does anyone know where I can get
these parts in good condition? Thanks Don

I assume you're talking about a bobbed hammer?If you're
gonna toss it ,I'll take it. I have Model 36 I want to use for pocket carry,so I need a bobbed hammer.
Have you tried posting in the Wanted to buy section of the classifieds for another hammer?
As far as replacing the sear I don't see why you would have to.

This hammer is not a bobbed hammer it is a
botched hammer. Half of the spur is sawed off
leaving sharp edges. I want to put it in orginal
condition. Don

Sam - if you have a factory hammer with spur, and want to trade for a bobbed, I think I can help - PM me if that's the case.
