J frame IWB and appendix holsters

I replaced my well worn Galco pocket holster w/a Blue Force Gear pocket holster for my 340PD a few months ago. Much thinner and stays in the pocket.

I carry my 360 AirWeight in a DeSantis Pocket tuk. It gives me the option of being able to carry IWB and with a shirt tucked in with only a small portion of the belt clip showing. The way my clothes hand on me my piece doesn't print unless I bend over at the waist which is never.

Some good suggestions here. I have used the Side Guard minimal clip and snap for J Frame AIWB. Have also used old / vintage suede safariland holsters and Vedders kydex.

So far, the clear winner for me, is the PHLster City Special. Carried this Model 42 snub in a PHLster the second half of today. Easily the most comfortable / concealable.

I appendix carry my 686P in an azula holster, I've ordered one for my M642 as well. No issues at all, great leather holster.

I would seriously avoid any holster that collapses once the pistol I drawn

Yes. I recently tried a Blackhawk Size 8 with a hammerless J-frame, IWB at 4 oclock, and knew it wouldn't be easy to re-holster one handed. What surprised me was how difficult it was to re-holster two handed. I decided against it. Felt too dangerous, like the trigger might get snagged in the process.

Ditto the Phlster City Special. Really nice IWB design. The only thing I've found (outside my untra-sticky DeSantis Super Fly) that is actually comfortable to appendix wear with my 352 AirLite Ti and my extra poundage. I tried the DCC clip mentioned above, but ended up going back to Phlster's plastic clip that came with it. The DCC is great, snaps on easily and is incredibly (maybe excessively) strong. Nobody is going to rip it off your belt unless they have a large pair of vice grips. But I quickly tired of it eating my fingers when taking it off.
