I have a Model of 1955 22/32 Kit Gun (pre model 43?) Airweight. Numrich doesn't list my gun. I need a mainspring as it misfired a few times yesterday. The same box of ammo had zero misfires in a Marlin model 80 bolt action rifle.

Numrich lists #312050A as a J Spring Main Spring for a model 43 or 51; it is also the spring listed for a model 63.

They also list #312050B for a model 60. They both appear to be red in color. They both cost $9.03 and are listed as New Factory Original .

I am assuming I need the one for the model 43?

OEM mainspring is listed as S&W number 07104. The Numrich numbers you list are not OEM factory parts numbers.

Make sure you don't have debris around the chamber openings of the extractor, or under the extractor...... and that the cylinder assembly is clean. Rimfire shooting debris is notoriously filthy, and can cause malfunctions, including misfires.

Parts lists are here on the forum.....thread #1

Wolff also has J-frame springs.....link below:

Don't forget to flush out the firing pin cavity in the frame. Crud in there can shorten the firing pin stroke.
