Having recently acquired a model 60-10, I learned that some fancy grips will not allow the 357 case length to eject from a J-frame. I struggled at the range yesterday and now have the rubber back on that came with the gun. I ordered a set from Altamont and hope they will work.

Here is what I have to replace:

I already had a Model 60 Pro but had left the original slim grips on it, not realizing potential grip issues. That gun now has Hogue nylon combats, which feel superb on that gun. The original Pro Series grips went on my nickel 36-1 for a match made in Heaven. With those grips, the little bling gun shot remarkably well for me at 50 feet. I will need to get some pics of these grip switches.

You're right, many of the target oversized grips get in the way when ejecting empty shell casings or won't work w/ the round speedloaders. Some just file them down then refinish, I prefer to find a grip that works the way it comes. To each his own . . .
