J frame new yoke retention?

The SCSW lists a "new yoke retention system" for the M36 and M60 in 1988. Could someone please explain what changed? Thx.

The screw that holds the yoke in place (front screw on side plate) was changed from a flat ended solid screw (that required fitting), to a spring loaded pointed screw to fit into a beveled slot in the yoke. It does not require any fitting.
