I am in need of a Model 60 stainless steel yoke for my Chiefs Special. I recently acquired this revolver and upon disassembly noticed the yoke is missing about a third of the metal where the side screw retains the yoke. The cylinder starting coming out when i was cleaning the revolver. I retightend the screw and it seems to be staying in place now. In addition I was wondering if the metal rod that goes in the cylinder of the revolver where the screw locks it in place is press fitted in the yoke. I was wondering if this portion of the yoke could be removed and replaced? I suppose I could loctite the side screw in place and forget about it. Seems to be holding. I tried to remove with some force and it won't budge. It just kind of bothers me knowing it isn't right. I was also curious if S&W might have old stock yokes for the Model 60. I plan to call them tomorrow.
Thanks for any input.

What JAREDSHS said. I really need to actually see what your difficulty is in order to intelligently analyze it. If you do indeed have a damaged yoke on a Model 60, you should be able to get a used one online from one of the gun auction sites or even from the infamous 'Bay. Bear in mind that the yoke is fitted to the frame, but with a little luck you should be able to fit one you find reasonably well to your frame... no guarantee, though.

Damaged portion. Is this a new style or an old style yoke?

Probably going to send it back to S&W and have it restored back to new. Too nice a gun to half azz fix. Just pisses me off that some moron would have filed this part down like that. I have no clue how this could happen. Makes absolutely no sense.

That is older style. Try Numrich (Gun Parts International) This part would probably require some fitting.

Thank you. I figured that out after about an hour of internet search last night. Some things are easier to find on the net than others. :)
