I rented the DVD of Spectre yesterday and watched it last night. Just the typical formula for the series, BG wants to take over the world and James Bond stops him. Anyway, one of the BG's henchmen seemed to be using one of those double-barreled Arsenal Firearms .45s. There were only a few brief and distant scenes, but I am pretty sure that was what I saw. Did anyone else see that?

I noticed that too. Too bad they are $$$

Another thing I noticed was the finger on the trigger on the movie poster / cover.

If the hammer was down and the safety applied, one could simply "tut tut" the individual but he's got the thing cocked and his finger on the trigger.

No wonder he is disgusted with the franchise and wants to quit no matter how much money they offer him; they are asking him to walk-and-chew-gum and that's simply not acceptable in today's polite society.

I mean, really! What might they ask of him next?

I wish he would quit the role. He has never come up to the standards of Connery or Moore. I even prefer George Lazenby. I assume most are aware that Daniel Craig is an avowed anti-gunner.

George Lazenby was an excellent (and under-rated) Bond. Of course Sean Connery was the original and will always be the best. :)

Daniel Craig is the absolute worst so far. Second worst... Timothy Dalton.

I don't know, if you ever saw the 1980 version "Flash Gordon" and remember Timothy Dalton running around in those green tights....that's an image you can't unremember.

It's one of those things that costs Timothy points well off into the future....like perhaps to the 24th and a half century into the future.

George Lazenby made only "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" in the early 1970's. I have always believed it was one of the best of the series, maybe because Diana Rigg was in it. Nonetheless, Lazenby was pretty good also. I seem to remember that he had been a stage actor and for some reason returned to the stage after his only appearance as James Bond. Dalton and Craig are the worst.

I liked George Lazenby, I consider "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" one of the better movies (Thunderball is my favorite). I liked the first Dalton movie (Living Daylights). His second one, not so much.

Craig - one thing different about his is the movies took on a different style - from being somewhat comedic and ridiculous to darker and gritty. The camera style is also different - the action sequences have all that jerky motion and very short shots where the perspective jumps around a lot, which seems to be popular now and I don't care for.

I liked Skyfall. Spectre - it seemed more like a recycled action movie with Bond characters. Still entertaining though.

"Back in the day..." movie directors used to actually film stuff and they used actors and stunt men and set up the shot and did it until they got it right. Now-a-days, much of what they want us to believe they filmed is physically impossible to actually do or at best very risky.

So, they come right up to the point of doing it and then use quick cuts, fast splices, and pounding music with jerky motion to make us believe they just managed to smoothly insert a round peg into a square hole at 90 miles per hour upside-down in a spin.

When Fearless Freep did the high-diving act in our youth, you could be sure he was actually going to do it. Now...you can't be so sure.

My understanding was that Lazenby was trying to play them for money and they weren't biting so the role went back to Connery.
Connery was the best! ;)

I did notice the "Add ons" at the muzzle of that twin auto.
It is different from the stock weapon but they might be there so
the weapon can fire blanks for the movie?

I did not know they came in black..... (Blued ) thought the high dollar .45 only came Stainless?
