RIP James Darren

It's harder and harder to watch old movies and realize everyone in the cast is gone. My own recent brush with death hit me like the hard slap of an angry woman. Makes one realize we all have a "Delete" button.

Saw him at Chiller Theatre here in NJ a few years ago, bought a picture of him from "The Guns of Navarone", shows him holding a Bren Gun.

He did a lot. My fav. is Pappadimos in The Guns of Navarone. RIP.

You too, huh? I'm waiting for my next 'brush.' Lost 9 people from my former job in 2 years. One of my favorite flicks is "The Friends of Eddie Coyle." The last actor passed away, was it 2 years ago: Mitchell Ryan.

Altho a Trekkie, never really cared for DS9, but I did enjoy James Darren as Vic Fontaine.

...I was big fan of 'The Time Tunnel' (I was eleven years old). He did a lot of movies/TV and had a long string of records to boot. He made it to 88 years old. I hope I get that far.

Kind of ironic that some many of us remember that show, even though it lasted like only two seasons. Also ironic, all "time-travel" shows that followed also had short lives.
