Another great one gone. I liked him in Rollerball and that Las Vegas series a few years back. R.I.P. Mr. Caan.
He hooked me in '71 with Brian's Song.

A much admired actor. His role as Santino "Sonny" Corleone was unforgettable.

He trained heavily for that role and ran a 1911 as well as any actor in a movie!
And in Elf, he truly shined.

1981's "Thief" is a Michael Mann film.
He sent Caan to Jeff Cooper's school
to learn how to handle a 1911.
One of the 1911s is believed to be
a custom Gold Cup with special
6-inch barrel and slide.
I believe it was Dennis Farina's
debut as a movie actor.

A lot of good work but I particularly liked "Comes a Horseman" Mr Caan could really ride a horse and actually did some rodeo work in real life.
