Jar Wrench Letter home

Oh honey, the women are the scariest.

I was an MP. We had OSUT -- one station unit training-- basic and advanced training all in the same unit, 8 weeks basic followed by 8 weeks MP school, all with drill sergeants.

The primary drill for my platoon was a female. The night before graduation, she announces over the barracks intercom that if the platoon area wasn't squared away by morning, she would "Be very ugly." I don't know if I was just feeling salty or if I forgot that the intercom was a two-way deal, but I blurt out, "Why should tomorrow morning be different from any other morning?"

She starts asking "Who said that?" Whereupon my best friends in the platoon dime me off. Push-ups. LOTS of push-ups.

I love tough gals. Gals that can do anything. Like run chainsaws, fix Harleys, ride dirtbikes etc. Shooting guns and being a marine is a big plus.
I'm happy to call these gals my friends.

God bless her she sounds awesome.

I will say this. When she comes back from boot camp, she'll be in excellent shape. It may feel like pain at first but is does get easier.
BTW. I looked up the commanding general of PI. Pretty serious looking.

Love hearing you all share your experiences and encouragement!

I don't know what I'm going to do when it's time to service the car. She's been doing my oil changes.

Had to laugh at today's note jotted onto the Navy Credit Union info she sent us.

Never saw a sand flea in Hollywood boot camp. We had liberty every other day, hung out with movies stars and had drama classes once a week.
Seriously though, tell your daughter that there's some old grizzled ex-Marines that are giving her mental support.
