i purchased a S&W model 64-5 NY-1 from j&g sales in august 2009. i've put about a 1000 rounds through it and have been very pleased with its accuracy and performance.

price, product and service at j&g are excellant.

got my 64-4 snubbie from them...great to work with.
gun was shipped promptly & was in better shape than what i expected.

i talked with "paulie", very helpfull & easy to deal with.
here it is as i received it.

here after grip change.

I bought a Model 67, in VG condition. The gun was just as advertised, in very good condition with minor/normal wear marks. I was very pleased with the service and product. I'd recommend doing business with them.

I just ordered 2 of the DAO model 64's in very good plus condition as described on their site. I spoke with Paul and he said the guns were in in about 85% condition. They should be here tomorrow. If they shoot like the rest of my S&W's I plan on ordering some more.

I was going to post on this sometime over the weekend. Just got my 64 NY-1 from J&G recently. Other than replacing the hogue rubber grips with factory grips and replacing the buggered cylinder release screw, this is as I received it.

You really cannot beat the price (under $300) and these are collectible, in my opinion.

Stainless can be shined up pretty good, don't worry about the finish.
Not bad for a less than $300 stainless K frame!

Got one for just over $200 through a group buy on okshooters. Great gun. I cleaned it up and put some diamond PC magnas on it and T-grip and its a nice package for about $250 total. Shoots straight. Trigger is very nice. A little polishing an most of the nicks cleaned up.
Probably the best gun deal I've ever had. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

I recently bought one locally that I'm told came from J&G. They had a couple dozen of them, all round butts, some 64-5 and some 64-6. Every one I looked at was a solid, serviceable gun. All had Uncle Mikes rubber grips. The batch I looked at was reportedly from Brink's Security.

I picked up a Model 64-5 DAO from a dealer at a show this past January. He got them from J&G. Besides it being dirty and riding a long life in a duty holster it was a great K frame. I bead blasted it and had to peen and file out a few dents on top of the side plate. Cleaned up very nice and shot great. I mainly bought it to clean up and re-sell or trade which I did. Got a nice 686 with the money from it. Would get another one again.

To convert to SA/DA usually all you need to do is replace the hammer. This worked on my J & G Model 64.

Hope this helps.

Steve

Don't know anything about their 64's, but I just picked up a 67-1 earlier this week and it's in good shape. About the only small dings on it appear to be from a seat beat. The trigger pull is a bit heavy, but I'll work on that when I drop the SA/DA hammer into it. The barrel is in great shape. So far I'm happy with and would buy from them again.

Pic is too large to upload.
I polished it up a little and swapped out the grips.
