Has anyone used this trigger in a 15-22?

Saber Drop in trigger

I have it in my regular AR and love it. It would be nice to have the same trigger in my 15-22. Just wondering about fit.

See any reason why it wouldnt work as a drop in? It has a warning to not use on an open bolt face. A bit ignorant to what that means.

I tried it in mine and had a lot of light strikes, eventually gave up and put a bcm in it.

The best way to eliminate light strikes IMO is to use the Hiperfire trigger system. Light trigger pull with compound bow type of hammer strikes. Works great on 22 LR.

I am using the Hiperfire 24-C. I'm not sure that model is available now, but I'm sure there is another one with the same specs. The trigger has a conventional spring but the hammer has two springs kinda like a crossbow. Works great. I've not had a single light strike with this trigger.

24C is fantastic especially if you take advantage of the included gray springs. But they're pricey (for me). Looks like most of the online stores are out, however, the Hiperfire site shows available for backorder. Wondering if it's taking away from the even more expensive Eclipse?

I installed and only got light strikes, not a single pew. Really like that trigger and here in Sweden hiperfire is quite expensive (2/3 of the price for the gun). Going to try with another spring for the firing pin later next week, some people seems to have great success with that when getting light strikes with Timney triggers.

Can make a report how it went if you want to.

I would like to hear how it went. I really like the JMT trigger. Would be nice to put it in my 15-22 as well.

The warning you mention in your OP means don't use with a blow back type rifle, 9mm, 22lr etc.

That leads me to believe they at least did some testing and the results were not favorable for reliable function with "open bolt face" rifles.

Sorry for late reply, but just got time to test my JMT Saber with my new, softer, firing pin spring. It was a partial success, but not close to what I hoped for. It went from 0% pew to 60-70% pew, sometimes I even got pew pew...

This is really sad since I liked the trigger and put money and time on it. I will change back to my almost original trigger, just lightened the hammer and jp yellow trigger spring. I got a jp yellow ha me spring also, think I'll try it now when I got lighter fp spring.

Will stick with that until I've decided if I go for a jard trigger (that is supposed to work flawless according to blackrifle.co.uk) or buy a hiperfire, cry some, and then be happy...

You answered your own question....I can verify that the Hiperfire ( I have the 24C) certainly goes pew, pew, pew...not a lightstrike at all...(that is not ammo related) 100% top quality FCG, I fell in love with the idea and gumpf....when I installed it I realised it was not gumpf, it really works. Expensive?....yeah!....Worth it?...yeah!

Same here. Can't see it light striking for a long, long time. Believe those toggle springs (gray) would feel at home on a dump truck.
