Back when it was being broadcast, I always watched it and thought it was very clever. I haven't seen it on any of the cable channels that usually show the ancient TV series. I think everyone who has seen WKRP remembers the "Turkey Drop" episode.
It is my understanding the reason it isn't being rebroadcast on the oldies TV channels is the music played on the original show. Story is they can't afford to pay for the music rights.
I'll always remember 2 episodes from WKRP.
The turkey drop, and the infamous Who concert.
RIP Dr. Fever.
"As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly." I did too.

My buddies and I were running a small FM rock/pop/Top 40 station at the time. Can't truly appreciate WKRP unless you've worked in radio.
What, no mention of Jennifer Marlow, the world's highest paid receptionist?
He also did quite well as one of the Freedom School teachers in Billy Jack especially in the staged park robbery scene.

What's in the briefcase?
Yogurt.
I was unaware of this show, but here's the turkey drop scene off Youtube: WKRP Turkey Drop - YouTube
Jan Smithers was way under rated.
