Sorry to hear this but sometimes I think it's somewhat of a relief when all hope is lost and the person is in agony with no chance of getting better. Bone cancer would typically be one of those situations.
I have a friend that's recently diagnosed with bone cancer and I'm not looking forward to what's ahead for them.
My condolences to the Ahrend family.

I agree, it's difficult to lose someone you love so much, but it's even more difficult to watch them suffer, while you are totally helpless to offer relief. I spoke with Kim on the phone a month or so back, really nice fellow, helpful and jolly. God Bless him and the family.
 
Thank you to everyone who reached out at this time. Judy worked into January because she loved the job and the people. It's been a 6 year battle. She's in a happier place now. Judy showed so many people not only how to live but to die with dignity. She will be missed.
