Just a daydream...

The first two, the 27-2 and the 24-3 the only ones with original boxes, have been through Dunkin Gunwash, had their baths and their shoes shined...They have stood still for their photo ops as shown below...:o...Ben

Don't know how I missed this, wow, that must of been fun. I would of been happy with just one.
Amazing that Cabelas had those. Your store is much more classy than mine. 😎

These are all some of my favorites. I paid $400.00 for a 24-3 3" almost 20 years ago and foolishly traded it and a little cash for a 624 3" that I no longer have. I found myself in a shop two days ago a was looking at a 66-1 2 1/2" and a nice 6" model 17 blued. He also had a nice 5906 for $495.00 that I'm still thinking about. I already have the 66-1 and 18 but hated to leave something like that for someone who wouldn't appreciate it so I bought the 66-1. It's apparently an old police revolver and has a few nicks and no box. I was gonna post here where the shop is in case someone wanted the 17 but the shop owner won't ship. He had a couple of other S&W's but I felt they were priced too high. Just when you think all the good Smith's are gone somebody pops up with guns from an estate, which is where these came from.

I purchased a 3" 24-3 from an FBI Agent friend in the early 80's and later a 4" 24-3 from a DA friend at a gun show. That one had been tuned by the famous 300 Gunsmith shop in Denver, know for doing fantastic actions. I let both of them go over the years, and wish I had both of them back now. I do have a 4" 1950 Target. Love .44 sp. Nice job Ben!

After exiting the bathhouse and the shoeshine stand, the 25-5 and the 48-4...Last but not least, the Model 53 will stand for a washdown, then its photo op......Ben

Very nice! My Christmas to me, will be considerably less that yours is. :)
I's sure you have been better this year than I was..
Enjoy them in good health

Ha! I thought they all looked great in your first picture! ;)

I have to admit, even thinking about a gun in .22 Jet makes me smile - I did hear of that once................a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....... :D

Would you mind sharing the washdown procedure with us? The post-clean guns in your pics are impressive!
As my limited time permits, I have already planned a photo article about Dunkin Gunwash (my buddy's moniker for the procedure)...I'll publish it in one of my blogs, which the powers that be here have determined to be "commercial" sites for which I have been dinged more than once...I don't understand it since nothing is for sale on my blogs and I receive zero income from them, although there is a link to my publishing site, but I defer to the judgement of those in power here...

When I publish the article, I'll mention it here and those interested may PM me for the link (assuming that is permissible)...I greatly appreciate the interest and beg your patience since it involves some time and preparation......Ben

EDIT: I use a linked sigline in my emails which appears at the bottom of any email message anyone may have received from me...Those interested may email me and get links to all my sites at one fell swoop...Thanks...
