I ain't complaining, mind you, but I must ask: On the old board, when I posted a thread and/or a reply to a post, I would get an immediate email notification each time some one posted a response… I'm not getting any responses, and I followed the instructions on how to subscribe – also, when I subscribed to a Forum (like the Classifieds), I would likewise receive an immediate email notification each time some one posted a new thread; here again, the email response I receive contains all of the threads on each of the forums I subscribe to. Is this happening to every one here, on this new board, or is it just I?

I think Lee and crew are still tweaking this thing, and I thank them for their efforts, so please don't take my question as a complaint… just a question, mind you. Thanks.

I have noticed pretty much the same thing. I have generally not been getting email alerts to postings in threads I start or have subscribed to. I think I have checked all the correct boxes but I am really not sure.

Wouldn't you know it? I got an instant email telling me about this reply. Point is it doesn't always work. There are other threads, either started by me or those I subscribed to, that I have received no emails on. I guess it will shake out in time.

As I stated before, I followed the instructions on subscribing to a thread and to a forum. I think things are beginning to shape up. Like Frank, this is the very first time I receive an instant notification to this (my) thread. Thanks Lee, Barb, Thiokol - whoever is responsible for bringing back this very valuable feature "Instant Notification" Much appreciated.

If you want to be notified when a new post is posted in the Guns for Sale section, open that section. In the bar above the first post, click on "Forum Tools". When the drop down menu opens, click on "Subscribe To This Forum".

Thanks for chiming in Thiokol - As I've mentioned before, I subscribed to each of the three Classified forums, and to a number of threads/posts in The Lounge. Except for this thread, I am receiving no email notifications. If you have the "Key" to look into my profile, I hope you do - there you'll see the areas I've subscribed to, and the areas I need to check for me to start getting email notifications - I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

I don't have the level of authority necessary to look at your profile. Only Lee & Smithnut have access. I'll contact them to have a look and see if they can fix you up. They're both pretty busy right now, as you can guess. So hang in there for a while.

The mystery has been solved, by Lee - Here is the deal (solution), apparently when Lee and company took off the board down to fix a few issues, the subscriptions were nullified. So, if any one is having the same issues as I did, just unsubscribe and resubscribe and you'll be back in the saddle again. Thanks Lee, and all of the folks behind the scene.
