Interesting forum. Been a fan of S&W revolvers for a very long time...well back into the last century.
My first commercial handgun purchase was 6-inch Model 19 from the old Warshal's in Seattle many years ago. ;)
I now have, uh, more than one S&W. My favorite trail gun is a 2 1/2-inch 19, and while I no longer move along the trail with the same speed and energy I did 30 years ago, that little revolver still
gets its share of fresh air now and then, weather permitting!

I do a fair amount of handloading, and write for about six different gun publications.

How I wound up here, a pal knew I was looking for a Model 57 with a 4-inch barrel. I can see right now I'm in pretty good company. :D

Welcome to the forum!

We can always use another good leather guy here! I like your "tuckable" design and enjoyed your articles back when I subscribed to Gun List, the Magazine.

Welcome Dave, I am also a fan of your work.

Started following you from NWFA.

Great merciful heavens!

Very kind of you all for recognizing me. Perhaps I should have signed in with a typical internet pseudonym...like "MAGNUM KILLER44" or "Mom's Favorite Basement Boy" or something.:D

I'm sure you'll all give me plenty to enjoy here.

I'm a sucker for a Model 57.

Hey wait! I know that name! Great to have you here Dave. I look forward to your posts as I too am a fan of your work.

Welcome from New York.

Welcome from Texas Dave Workman. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

I'll never talk! No matter what you do, I'll never "share what I know." Thumb screws, waterboarding, finger nails, cattle prods, branding irons....

:D :D :D

I'll never reveal that my favorite load has become a 210-grain Nosler JHP on top of 19.9 grains of H110.

I'm not spilling my guts about 16.5 grains of 2400 behind a 200-grain Speer JHP-SWC (works good in my Mod. 57 and in my two Blackhawks).

I've never even heard of a CCI 350 magnum primer!

What are Redding Dies? I don't know anybody named RCBS.

So forget it. I'm not blurting nuth....oh, wait...
