it cleans exactly the same as an ar-15. I use balistol to clean and lube my guns. I recently added a grease to my lubrication as well on some parts that looked like they were wearing.

the big difference is the size... other than that the small spring on the back end of the firing pin is the only difference from an ar-15.

just get good .308 ammo for it, we have found that it doesn't like CBC and some other brands. take a look through the Ammunition thread for some other specific ones.

yep, i have had an issue with CBC. I am going to give Wolf a try in a couple weeks and see how that does for cheap ammo.

Same thing as oil but the M&P 10 seems to run thirsty and I find that I need to constantly oil it to prevent malfunctions. Grease lasts longer and I don't need to oil it as much.

what type and weight of grease should be used ... im an aircraft mechanic so i have the aeroshell brand ..
# 5 ,6, 7 are the most common and i have tubes of those

Ehh, all you need is a little drop of it and just rub it around to cover with a thin film.

Wilson Combat Ultima-Lube II gun grease for all platforms, excellent product:D
