You may find the "dragon slayer" loads interesting, in moderation. I've had a couple Marlin 95's over the years but currently only have a trapdoor. A friend once loaned me some stout loads he worked up for his Winchester 86 to try out. Two were enough for me. World of difference between the felt recoil in the 86 and the Marlin.

I have a Marlin in 35. rem a Browning blr in 358. win and have been looking at one just like that at my local toy store.

Very nice looking lever guns, I have a Winchester 94 in 44 mag. with large loop. Would like a Marlin in any caliber just to have one.
