I sucessfully put another box of federal bulk pack through my 15-22 this past weekend. thats a total of 2...1100...well probally 1050 for sure through my gun and the ejector hasnt fell out! I'm betting I havent cleaned my gun in about 400 rounds either.

I have one of the original versions of the rifle pre threaded barrel but once i tweaked my ejector as per the youtube video i haven't had a single FTE with probably 1500 rounds through it. Once in a while i will have a round that doesnt feed but that is usualy do to my loading at the range any rushing to shoot again.

Federal bulk pack, CCI mini mag/Stinger/Velocitor, Aguila Super Max, Remington Viper Hyper Velocity. All of these have worked with out problems for me.

Stay away from the golden bullets or standard velocity remington ammo they are junk

I have 1000 rounds through mine without cleaning and it runs great! Combination of Federal bulk and Wolf match target. Very accurate. Serial number DTU5.

well,....my 15-22 is "gun-crack"..lol cant get enough of it. ive put maybe 4000-5000 rounds through it and have had a few ftf...no fte. also DTU. i give mine a quick "once-over" cleaning after each range visit.

14k rounds thru my 15-22. Never been back to S&W. Cycled well out of the box (except for about 1% mag snags). Great rifle.

Fast approaching 10k rounds with no issues other than 1-2 mag snags per box of federal bulk and my wife and 13 year old daughter complaining that I spend more time shooting in the front yard than with them. Solution...Introduced the girls to the 15-22! Will be buying a 2nd one in the near future because they enjoy it as much as I do and it's starting to cut into my trigger time.

LOL. Oh how times have changed BELT FED. Lately I spend most of my time loading mags for the girls. But I love it that they share my enthusiasm. Have been trying for the last couple of years to get them interested in shooting but until the "tacticool" factor came into play was not very successful. S&W did it right with this one.

this is a GOOD report because all the reports had me worried..... ejector failing, jams, FTFs, etc

i shot 300 rds today for the first time with my rifle. Zero ftfeed... 1 ftfire, but the casing was struck hard. Im sure the bullet was a dud.

Just make sure you load the mags properly. I make sure bullets are staggerred like the howtoload posts and tap bottom of mag.. I was using federal bulk 550 from walmart.

Rifle shot pretty straight once i settled in on the range and stopped choking the grip. With my cheapy red dot got a nice 3inch circle firing (50rds made a nice hole) as fast as i could aquire the target at about 30yds or so. At about 50 yards 5-6 inch circumference. Im sure it wasnt the rifle like mentioned, accuracy, i had a cheap non magnify reddot on the rifle. at 75 yards the reddot seemd to almost engulf my target.

Also fairly new to firearms so cant expect too much skill from myself. I have family members that pick off a squirrels eyes at 100yds all day and i cant even wound one with the same rifles used. (these are bolt 22') Ive learned its not the BOWnARROW but the indian.

Will go back with a scope once my mount get here..

Hi Dvang,

The below issue can be remedied by using a 6oclock sight picture. Meaning.... adjust the sight so the top edge of the red dot is where the bullet hits rather than trying to center.

addin i have an older DTH#### model no probs. got my mounts today via UPSguy.. will try to make it back to the range tommorow with a different reddot and the scope..


should i clean the gun b4 i hit the range or just go shoot???

I have put 1,000+ rounds through so far with no FTE's and only one bad feed. I've been really impressed.

Sent my Barrel off to Belt_fed for threading. Can't wait to get it back soon and resume my blasting ways... with my new Vortex Flash Hider.

Ive got over 3,000 rounds of Federal Lightning(preferred and cheapest) through my 15-22 and not one hiccup. Also about 2-300 Federal Bulk from the great place called Wally World, also not once hiccup. DUA Serial, Blue Springs, ejectors still there last time i checked
Just got my facog yesterday, sighted it in today and man these things can keep a tight group, i fell in love with my evergrowing 'tacticool' 15-22 all over again.

Since coming back from S&W, mine has eaten everything I've run through it; including the dreaded Remington Golden Bullet. It is one of the most enjoyable guns in my collection. It's also fun to watch other people shoot it for the first time. They're hooked from the first round and can't seem to get enough of it!

DTM serial #. Had extractor probs at first. Fixed without sending back. Then had jam probs. Found out it was one of the first mags. Bought one of the new mags and runs like a sewing machine ever since. Only have around 325 rounds through mine so far. 275 of them after all the probs were fixed. Was regreting the buy b4 with all the malfunctions but now I wouldnt trade it for anything and Ive only had it 3 weeks.
