I've been making dog collars occasionally and just finished this one for my grandson. His dog was 7th in the litter, hence his name. The hollowpoints are 9MM in powder and primerless .380 brass. The rimless cartridges are staked through the back of the collar under the lining with cut down superglued finishing nails going into the bullets so they'll never fall out. Depending on your dog's size (the bigger the better), I can make one for you, too. $75 shipped to lower 48 states. It can't be too little of a dog, though. This is about the minimum being a dog with 14" neck and 1 1/4" wide collar. I've made a bunch like the one on the bottom and think the two-tone dyed with bullet loops would look a lot better than this black one.

I wonder it you could fill the primer holes with solder?

I'm thinking my Giant Schnauzer would require 9mm Luger.:D:D:D

Maybe just leave old shot primers in there. I agree there has to be something in there instead of empty primer pockets. I'll fix that in the future. Here's another one I did like those holsters I make. I think I'll ad this to the mane post.

That's pretty cool.
I've been thinking about starting a thread for our leatherworkers to show leather things they make other than holsters. Maybe one of these days.

Great idea!!!! Are you taking orders yet?
Sure. PM me and we can talk about it. I can make it tooled and two-tone dyed like the one here but with bullet loops, too. The size of the dog limits the ammount of area to fancy up. And lighter dogs usually get dark collars and vice versa, or a two tone goes with most any. But these aren't for small dogs. 14" around the neck and a minimum of 1 1/2" wide.

Matt, that kind of reminds me of those cartoons showing a st. benard with a little keg around his neck looking for survivors from avalanchs. You could make little bandoleers for your dog to bring you extra ammo in a survival shootout!

My dog wears a 24" collar, I guess there would be room for more than 6 rounds.........

Unless it's a pre ban collar it would need to be limited to 10rds here in The People's Republik. :D

Probly need a 45/70 for the Bull Mastiff crowd. ;)

While I was reading the top, I was thinking "If I had a Giant Schnauzer, this would be awesome" (I want one). And I agree with the 9mm Luger :D

Like it! Would be a good way to butch up the standard poodle my wife is talking about getting.
