The 60 I got is in great condition, however I need something else. A few years ago I was offered a Model 60 box with all the papers in at least 90% condition. Well got the 60 and an excellent box, however the decal on the end of the box is for a different serial number. Where can I get a new white decal for this gun? The decal is 3 3/4 X 1 1/4. Anyone know someone who can make this decal?

Be careful. Some of the end label "decals" available on the internet have minor differences from factory and collectors can tell a fake from an original.

You have a legitimate box and what sounds like a nice gun. Leave the box alone.
IMO, counterfeit labels are unethical and bad for our hobby. You may not intent to misrepresent it and defraud someone, but you can't control what happens when the gun is passed on.

The reproduction labels are noticeable as repro's in their detail. I have purchased them and only scotch taped them over the original labels. This saves the integrity of the original label and box yet allows me to see what I have in the box.

It’s interesting to speculate how this box mix happens.
As I have posted, while pretending to be a Gun Shop Clerk at my Buddy’s store, I have sold new guns and the buyer put the gun in a rug or case.
Then walked out and left the box on the counter.
Just like it is!

I made the mistake of sending a S&W revolver back for repairs in the original box. It came back in a different box with the old label ripped off. I guess when they come in they just remove the gun from whatever box it arrives in, tag it and send in on down the line with absolutely no thought to the box. Granted that was about 30 years ago.
About 5 or so years ago I sent my 3 Gen 2 Glocks in for free refreshing in generic cardboard so I didn't lose my original tupperware sandwich boxes. They all came back in the newer hinged boxes with the handles.

I see so many counterfeit labels these days, especially from a local auction house. At least now he is stating in the description "box renumbered to match the gun". I can spot the fake 3 yards away. Sometimes the fakers put them on right side up when they should be upside down.
