So i think it was a good thing i didnt just go and buy that 625JM, because i just picked up a 586, bought it 83-84, fired 18 rounds and put away until today. Picked it up with all the rest of the ammo, and the pistols only wear is a slight cylinder ring and at the very tip of the barrel. Past that its bluing is deep and dark and its lockup is tight. Trigger is plain amazing for a stock S&W (in my ventures).

It has not had the Mod done to it... Really just needed some dusting, but once some oil hit the finish... Daaaamn!

Paid 475. I could have prob got it a bit less, but i found it right when it went for sale and didnt want to press my luck.

Of course.. Pictures...

Nice!!

I am a big fan of the 586. I have a 2 1/2"; 4" and the 6". I suppose if I find a nice 8 3/8" I might as go for it!

In my opinion you did good on the price and it is a fine looking specimen also!!

About 6 months ago I picked up my 1st handgun - a nice 586-3 with 6" barrel, matte black finish, round butt with nice wood grips. Very little wear and locks up real tight. The gun shop was asking $495, and I talked them down to $475. I think we both got good deals.
