Just realized something......

I believe I saw somewhere that the head of the union made an annual salary of over $750,000. Maybe he should spread some of that around. Inflation has hit most of us in a bad way. I would like my military pension to go up by 70% in 5 years but I'm not holding my breath.

That’s his union pay ( he works real hard), then he collects 150k from his regular “work”.

I remember enough about making "Grappa" that all I need is a still large enough to cover a 4 burner stove, an "aged cask" and a hydrometer to measure proof. Unfortunately, like my "Nonno" used to say as we put towels over the basement windows: "Government don't want you to be happy," over a quart is a felony. As a "byproduct" of making 200 gallons of dark red, 30 gallons of Grappa lasted a year. Planning ahead, what a concept. Joe

Thankfully my tequila comes up from the Rio Grande border, and I have a 1.75L of Don Julio Anejo as a backup in the closet. May need to grab another bottle of Grey Goose vodka though.

If you like drinking more than you like money.

That is one strong union that you can't mess with.

Pay up or let the food rot, and TP stay on the ships.

Even the Military could not step in and get things fixed in time,
with all the thousands of containers that need unloading and placement
and delivered in proper times.

Feel lucky ?

I'm just gonna leave this right here:

“I will cripple you and you have no idea what that means. Nobody does,” Daggett said in a video released by the union last month.

There's no TP on the ships. Over 90% of our toilet paper is domestic or from Canada and Mexico. No ships. So people can stop panic buying and leave some on the shelf for me.

Oh, you unfortunate Scotch drinkers. Fortunately, for us more pedestrian types, Shiner Bock beer is brewed in Shiner, Texas. It doesn't even have to cross state lines to get here. And right now, they're brewing their wonderful, seasonal, Octoberfest Marzen-style beer. I'm going to panic-buy another 12-pack of Marzen before they sell out. Bottoms up!

Plus 180k or so from his "job", as noted earlier. The Genovises or, depending on who you ask, the Gambinos are involved as well.
