...my drivers license! Scored a 100 on the sign test,(woo-hoo!),and won't have to do it again for 8 more years.
Remember the feeling of getting you first license? Total freedom.
My Dad said the first one he got was a "lifetime" license, until the state figured out it was a money maker.

Yeah I remember the feeling. It lasted for 5.5 hours. 16 years old, I took the test in my moms prized 69 ford thunderbird, 429 cobra jet big block 4 barrel goodness.

Five and half hours later I was pulling out of a parking lot and decided to light em' up. Did a heck of an impressive fishtail across the full width of the road before slamming the car into the ditch. Jacked up the entire front end of the car. Had to call my mom who called the tow truck...

Tow truck driver put the wrecked car in our driveway. One hour later my father came home from work... it was not a good day for me...

Anyway, congratulations on the renewal!

I had a friend who had to make this phone call once at 1:30am:
"Hello, Mom? I sunk the car"

I didn't wreck it, but I did do a smoke show in front of an unmarked cruiser, two hours into my first day as a licensed driver. He was less than impressed.

I wish some kind of testing was required for renewal in Oklahoma. We've got some real idiots on the road.

I didn't wreck anything for a couple of years, but I did pop a clutch and burn some rubber just as my Dad walked out of a store. I thought he was at home. He was less than impressed.

Just happened on this thread and it made me remember mine expires this weekend - made it to the DMV with only minutes to spare to save me from paying an extra fee because it would have expired . . . .

You public good deed of the day, Sparky . . . .

You're welcome NFrame!
My first "accident" was 11 days after I got my license.
I was playing basketball and had taken my glasses off. As I was looking for them on the dash I veered a little too far to the right and hit a parked car.
On the plus side, a beautiful brunette in a halter top stopped to help. We went back to her apartment and...
She let me use the phone.
