The 4" is a Lee MarvinI guess technically the 4" is a Jack Cates from 48hrs.
The 4" is a Lee Marvin
And congrats on the Travis Bickle.
If one has a Harry, one needs a Travis
+1 for Jack Cates in "48 Hours", except it got taken away from him early in the movie and used by bad guy Albert Ganz. On the funnier side, don't forget about Eugene Tackleberry and his 8-3/8" Model 629 ("Police Academy")!I guess technically the 4" is a Jack Cates from 48hrs.
Of course, you need all of themThis is the sickness.
You know that they made them in different barrel links and different finishes so that you would want them all.
These things are not as expensive as cars. They are still relatively expensive, and not something that you will buy every day, but they are not something that you will buy every three years like a car.
They fit right in the collectible category.
Beautifully made, valuable, hold their value, don't make any more like this, are small enough that you can have a bunch of them and not take up too much room, can be taken out for a spin every now and then, or just looked at and admired.
So do I really need the 6 inch?? in blue and nickel?

All right quite rubbing it in. lol I only have the 2 6.5" 29's and 6" 629. And as you know I'm trying to do the same thing with the 24's and 624. But there is absolutely no way I'm going to try repeat what you've done with yours. I could afford it but don't want the hassle trying to find 6 more magnums like that. Before you know it I'd have to do it with the specials. I doubt that I could accomplish it in my remaining 31 years. This is the sickness.

If you get the 6" then you're going to throw off the symmetry because of no 6.5 629 without some monkeying around. This is the sickness.

What does "need" have to do with it...If you find what you want at what you deem to be an affordable price, just do it!...If your family is comfortably housed, clothed and fed and the bill collectors are not lined up on your porch every morning, what is the problem with you getting some enjoyment from what you've earned...So do I really need the 6 inch?? in blue and nickel?
It does. I have the 6.5 in Nickel and blue… have the 6" 629… so now I know I need the 6" blue and nickel 29-2s.If you get the 6" then you're going to throw off the symmetry because of no 6.5 629 without some monkeying around.
That would bother the hell out of me.
Rick
yes, you do need the 6 inch in both B and N, and also you need the 629 in 3' - Lew Horton. Just tell your wife the forum had voted on it, and there is nothing you can do about it - just need to obey...This is the sickness.

As you know, the same with me. I did see on ebay a 6.5 bbl in S.S. but I'm pretty dubious. It's pretty shiny and the text on the barrel doesn't look right to me. Take a gander and see what you think. item #256129721423It does. I have the 6.5 in Nickel and blue… have the 6" 629… so now I know I need the 6" blue and nickel 29-2s.
OCD.. but I'll get them at some point next year. I guess they never made a 629 No dash in 6.5"
