I won't see it until Saturday, but what would an all original K-22 2nd that is claimed to be in 60-70% condition be worth? This is new territory for my collecting disorder and would greatly appreciate your comments.
Here's the one picture that shows most of the wear.

It's hard to tell from one pic, but if that's the worst of the wear I would rate it at 80-85%.

Need more views of it to rate it exactly?

Muzzle wear?
Frame wear in the grip area?
Trigger housing wear?
Top frame and barrel wear?

I'm not seeing the 60%-70% wear in your pic?

We gots to know......

A 22/40 sold this week on the for sale section. Look at the condition and price on his for a barometer. It sold pretty quick.

I was told 60-70 condition and won't be able to examine it until Saturday. I'm told there's no rust and am hoping it's better than the claimed percentage, but throw some #'s at me:D
Thank's paplinker!

Wow, that one seems to have sold for a lot less than I would think!
Do the magna stocks add value?

Not having correct Magnas would subtract value (except for custom grips by some of the old-time classic grip makers).

I'll throw out a number - $550.

A prewar K-22/40, in the pictured condition if it is representative of the rest of the gun, should be well north of $2000.

I'd say if it is less than 2K run on out and get that bad boy. You won't be sorry. They are lovely guns and a dream to shoot. Didn't make very many of them. What's not to like.

If you do get it, we want to see mucho pics.

I'm with Roger. I would think the gun in the original post would be at least a $2000 item, and maybe $2500 given what high quality specimens (boxed and boxless) have sold for in the last couple of years.

The stocks in that photo are prewar magnas. I would expect they are original to the gun.

Whether you acquire that gun or not, could you at least trap the serial number and post it here? I try to catalog all the known K-22/40s.

Thank you all! I was torn as to if I wanted to sell my Anaconda and now I feel better about it;)
Of course I'll keep you posted if and when the time comes.
