I have a k-22 3rd model which has been in the family since new in 1957. I shoot it regularly, it is a joy to handle. Last week at range it wouldn't fire then I noticed the cylinder was spinning freely without locking up. Is this something I can undertake myself? I'm no gunsmith but am fairly handy. Thanks for any feedback!

Welcome! Sounds like the correct diagnosis above.

I would remove the stock panels and thoroughly flush the internals with aerosol brake cleaner, then lightly re-lubricate. That may fix matters.

Open the cylinder, push the cylinder release forward and hold it there. Now cock the hammer and observe the cylinder stop in the center of the bottom flat. It should be obvious if the stop is not coming up. Try the cleaning method from the previous poster if the stop doesn't come up. If You can't see it, it might be broken.
