Good job! I've always heard the 4 screw non model marked k22 was one of the hardest to find. That one is sure a beauty.
OK, now I see what everyone means by the 5 screw version. That screw just below the rear sights. Nice looking wheel gun my friendOnce you shoot a K-22 there is no going back! I picked one up two weeks ago and have already put about 1000 rounds through her. Shoots like a dream!
I noticed that under the ejector rod that it has the same serial # that is on the bottom of the frame minus the "k". Does that mean anything special?
Thanks again,
David aka Candyman
Yes, a nice pre-17, and probably from 1957. You begin to see model markings on these guns around K325000, not too much higher than your serial number.
Actually, that's a four-screw gun -- the top sideplate screw that helps define a five-screw variety has already been designed out of this specimen.
I'll have to take some pictures on my K22 serial # 268xxx. Same if not better condition than Candyman's. Came with target hammer and trigger but not the original grips. Has a nice pair of Herret shooting stars on it though. Got it about 2 years ago at the Kenner show.
Got $100 in it.![]()
