Hi all, I'm not sure if the gun I have is a Combat Masterpiece Pre-model or a Model 15. It does have the Mod 15 inside the yoke, it has a pinned barrel, the K prefix, 38 S&W Special CTG on the barrel. Did the Model 15 have those characteristics as well? Has a 4 screw frame. Serial #K 3551XX. I don't think it's that new. I was thinking maybe it is a Combat Masterpiece that was made in 1957 since that's the year they started stamping the model #'s. Or I'm just missing something lol. I would appreciate some insight if anyone knows. I don't want to misrepresent it when I list it on Gunbroker, because it does affect the value somewhat. Thanks for any help :)

Wendy

K3551XX
K350,548 – K386,804...1959 (manufacture)
On my list I have K3515xx which shipped in 3/59.
If it has a MOD. 15 stamping, it is a Model 15. But I believe that most S&W advertising, etc., usually called it a Model 15 Combat Masterpiece. Either or both is OK.
