K Frame .22 LR Revolver

A friend is looking at a K Frame .22 LR revolver with adjustable rear sights. It has a six inch barrel and Magna grips. The place selling it has the S/N as 81409. He is saying that there is an H before the S/N, I think just a poorly stuck K. If so this would make it produced about 1950. Best guesses are very welcome. Sorry not more details and no pictures as he is 1300 miles away and no cell phone.........Thanks

That is what I was thinking. Am I right about the date?

Sounds like a nice find if the price is right. My serial # chart shows that in the 1949 range. It probably would have followed me home.

Based on my large database, K81409 likely shipped in 1950. It sounds like a nice piece.

H 81409 could also be stamped in the yoke cutout, which means all bets are off.
