First off let me say that I have very large hands and love the way Ropers look and feel on my 4” Model 16-4 .32 H&R Magnum. I decided I wanted to carry it the other day in a Tucker HF-3 OWB holster but no matter where I wore it the grips just made too big of a bulge and it is way too hot still for a jacket or coat. I have never had any S&W with Magna grips before so I thought I would try to find some to try. I ordered these off eBay really cheap and figured if I liked the feel and they did what I wanted I would have a nice set made for it. So far so good. They reduced the bulkiness and seem to feel ok. Have to shoot it and see

Wow, nice looking grips.

Anyway I wanted to mention it must be a cultural thing. I was born and raised 14 miles from mid- town Manhattan. 29 years OTJ in North Jersey. You go to any cop picnic in the summer here and 95% of the guys are wearing Hawaiian shirts to hide their guns. The other 5% aren't carrying. You can hide a freakin' Uzi under a proper Hawaiian shirt.

I still carry my Model 67 often.
I had a pair of Barami Hip Grips and a Tyler T for a long time. I recently changed to a set of old pre-war wooden grips that I run without a T.

The grip adapter will go a long way to making the Magna stock feel more like a Roper, yet maintain the slimness you seek.

I like them, a lot!

Another good option might be to go with the tgrip and K frame factory PC magnas. The PC Magnas rounded bottom edge of the grip may help avoid printing

If you can find them, these UM's Boot Grips would be a good option. This set is for a K square butt and you essentially have the effect of a set of PC magna grips with a T-Grip but with better gripping. I just got a set and am trying them on this 13-2.

I remember carrying those back in 70’s and 80’s. Still have them, still love them, but don’t carry them anymore. :D

Inside the waistband is the only way I can hide anything...but for decades I carried a 5 inch 1911 in a Milt Sparks holster. It quickly becomes second nature and none of my pants fit. If I lose weight, I will have to carry two guns to shim my pants on!

The only K-frame I ever carried much was a 12-2 that I carried for a few years back in the day. The 12's had a narrower butt than most K's that made it hard to find grips for it, so I just used the PC type Magna's that came on it, with a T-grip. It was an actual T-grip back then too, and an OWB paddle type holster with a thumb-break, brand forgotten now. Under a loose T-shirt, my usual uniform, it was great. I wish I still had that rig, but Nooooo. I had to get something "better."

One of the stories of my gun life.

Been carrying a 3" K-frame since 1986 in a Sparks Summer special..... either a 3"65 or 3"66.

Both wear Spegel Boot grips,VTGW's Uncle Mike grips [in post #11] are a licenced rubber copy of Spegel's wood grips

Mainly because I love the gun! My normal everyday carry is a Wilson Combat EDC X9 in a Milt Sparks VM 2

On a night of thunderstorms as a cop I decided to carry my $49 Model 15 instead of my $202 Model 19.

Unfortunately 38 Specials do not penetrate bad guys and their car as well as 357 Magnums.
