K Frame Catalin Grips? Any idea who made these?

These grips are solid, not hollow like Fitz or Franzite. They look like something from the 1940's or 50's, perhaps earlier. Discoloration on the back seems to be from dirt and gun oil, not "natural." The amber base color is similar to common Bakelite/Catalin.
Any idea who might have manufactured these?
