Looking for recommendations for chest carry of a K22 6". I like something that will not rub the blue off. Definitely not Kydex. Like to carry under a jacket while motorcycle riding, but good to go fishing or hiking as well. i sweat pretty good in the heat. Live in the TN mountains.
Concealed carry is not real important. I am a average sized guy, 5'-10" x 165 lbs.

Or, is shoulder carry better? Right hand cross draw in any case.

Lightweight is a plus.

Well thanks!!

I got a Tanker holster from El Paso Saddlery last year for carrying while driving a side-by-side or walking in the woods during the winter. It works pretty well but if I had to do it over again, I would try one with the second strap going around my abdomen vs. the belt attachment of the Tanker.

I have not purchased anything from this outfit but I like the design
Single or Double Chest Action Chest Holster

Basically it’s not as deep cover (or hard to draw) as a typical shoulder holster. However, the handgun isn’t front and center on your chest either. A compromise …

Another vote for Guide’s Choice. I have 3 of them and they are top quality rigs. I also have one of their nylon rigs, and like it as well. It is called the “Denali”.

I used to own a few chest holsters for different pistols and revolvers but never found them comfortable enough to actually use for more than a few moments. To me, OWB carry is much more comfortable. I suppose if you are a pilot, driver or someone sitting in a vehicle all day, it makes some sort of sense if you can deal with the weight and straps pulling on your shoulder all day long.

I agree with A10 on the Simply Rugged Chesty Puller System. Versatile from the standpoint that any of their pancake holsters work with the system.

Give some consideration to good cross draw holsters. The Bianci Cyclone is one of the best. Cross draw holsters are much more comfortable than chest or shoulder holsters and don’t interfere with your other gear.

I’ve never seen a shoulder holster that I can wear comfortably for more than a couple hours. When I’ve tried chest holsters I couldn’t wait to get out of them. For me, they are miserable devices.

It’s all relative. Big gun, big rig. Smaller gun and a smaller rig. Not a good picture……
