K Frame Dating Help?

Hi Guys & Gals:

Picked up a Model 15-3 today.

Serial number is: K8799xx
Can someone help me with dating it?
Right after the serial number there's a hand-stamped "PK51"
Any ideas what this might stand for?

Welcome! The serial number dates it to 1969.

No idea on the extra stamping, likely an inventory or rack number from a law enforcement or security agency. Or Po Katello? Hope this is helpful.
