I have a model 65-3 I recently acquired with RB frame. Currently have magnas and an adapter on it, but looking for some rubber grips for it.

All my other K Frames except one have factory wood grips. My 66-8 has Pachmayr Compacs, which I like except how flimsy they are around the top of the grip by the cylinder release.

My J Frames I really like the UM boot grips. For my 65 I'm looking for minimal boot grips, as close to flush along the bottom and exposed back strap or minimal coverage.

Anyone have recommendation? The UM I have found on search for K frames appear to be a "three finger" grip as opposed to more of a boot grip

You don't see them much but there are K Frame UM Boot Grips out there. Just real hard to find.

Take a look at Hogue. Can't recall model name but will try to find it.

Bantam. I have used them and they are okay.

Second the UM Boot Grips. I love them.

I've used both the UM boot grips and the Hogue Bantam grips and they both "work" well, I give a "slight" advantage to the UM boot grips as the rubber used seems to be a bit harder, while the Hogue's tend to by stickier and a cover garment tends to hang up on them occasionally.

UM boot grips ++
Hogue Bantams +

FWIW

The Uncle Mikes are a licenced rubber copy of Craig Spegel's Boot Grips.

There is/was also a Pachmayr "Professional Compact" with open backstrap.

Got some Hogue wood Bantum's on safe Queens ..... they are thicker than I like. Like them on a J-frame though.

S&W offered a roundbutt target grip aka the "Banana Grip" which I used a lot before finding Spegel's Boot Grips

#1 for me are the Spegel checkered Wood Boot Grips for guns 3" or less and "Extended Boot Grips for 4 and 6 inch guns.

The hideouts live up to their name, no snag, flush with bottom of gripframe, fill in the gap between trigger guard and gripframe, speedloader clearance. Adequate hand hold for 357 K frames.

Dubshooter - it seems like you were leaning towards rubber so I will second either the UM Boot grip (if you can find them) or the Hogue Bantam grip. If you want wood, then I would second the Eagle Secret Service grip.

Those UM look like exactly what I'm looking for. Did they make different models of the UM for the K Frames? Others I've seen look like they might be a bit longer than the frame

The one's pictured above are the 2-finger version.
There is also a 3-finger version which may be what your M65-3 came with from the factory.
That's what my M65-5 came with...
