k frame

Howdy all, quick question about a k frame pre model 10. I just traded for a 4 inch tapered barrel (standard for the purists) with a round butt and diamond service stocks. Think grooved trigger and wide target hammer. Has a serial number of C2765XX (XX=last two digits omitted) and was wondering the year of manufacture and if any one knew of this model coming with a target hammer of if that got added along the way. - Thanks Joe

Should have been manufactured in 1954, but could well have shipped somewhat later. Your hammer was probably added later, but others will know more.

According the All Model Circular of Jan 1956, target (wide) triggers were only available on
target K and N frames. Its always possible that it could have been a special order, but
only a factory letter would confirm that.
