K22 better pictures

Nice K22 Masterpiece! Mine's a little earlier- 1948. Very accurate and fun shooter, but I have to be careful because it has a hair trigger in single action.
I thought all K22s were shipped with diamond magna stocks. Did K22s have a target stock option? I think the targets look great. Enjoy!

It was an option as was the early target hammer. I have a 1956 K22 lettered with the target stocks and target hammer. The stocks are the early non relieved type. Big Larry

It's been a while since I've been on this forum and just recently it started sending me emails so I came to check it out. Still haven't shot that K22. Sold my Nova and getting ready to build another hot little 383 then find #10 of my 3rd gen. Novas. I might list that K22 in the guns for sale, but would prefer to find someone local. I need car parts(lol) and lacking a forged crank and the $2500 AFR 195 angle plug heads. I think I have about $8500 in parts so far including exhaust and a billet 3500/3800 converter. I did go buy me a Taylor tuned 1873 Uberti 45 long Colt and a really nice cowboy rig holster/belt. Holster and belt don't get no better.

No matter how big you build your garage, it's never big enough. I was so happy when I first built my new garage/shop but within a couple years I was running out of room. Oh well that a good problem to have.

Here's another good thing to have, my '52 K22. The finest 22 revolver made.

I just happened to come across the OP's original post and by coincidence my Model 17-2 is an identical twin to his. Mine is 1965 vintage and also came to me a few years ago wearing a set of non-relieved diamond checkered stocks. I've considered replacing them with period correct magnas but I just can't bring myself to do it.IMG_20250509_153332921.jpgIMG_20250509_153402985.jpgIMG_20250509_153332921.jpg

I have a few K22s, my favorite is one I got new on gun deal back in 1964. I had a Ruger Single-6 that was Olympic grade compared to what most of my buddies had. Because of their H&Rs and IJ I was not shooting the K22. Wanted it unused for trade purposes. A buddy hacked on me till we shot it. I underwent experience similar to being baptized. Carried the old K22 many miles and many thousands of shots since. It’s not been abused and still in nice honest shape for its age.IMG_0286.jpeg
