K22 Masterpiece

Sorry if this has been answered a dozen times before, but I am new to the site, so here goes. My K22 6" bbl in mint condition is early 50s which predates "Model 17". Does this vintage have greater value? I'm seeing here prices in mid- $500s. What do some of you think? Thanks

Yup, seems about right to me.

I think $500 is too high except for a truly pristine example.

I bought this one (a very nice shooter grade gun) a couple months ago for $325. I think $400 is a decent price for a decent pre-model K22 but I may be alone in such thinking and nothing surprises me with gun prices these days.

How badly do you want it?

I bought this one in Febraury for $500 and it came with diamond target grips. The gun has a little wear at the muzzel. The grips were
re-done by VM

You should have given us a serial number, so that we have a way to evaluate what
early 50's means. Some of the very early K serial numbers are worth more, to some
collectors, for example.

That was a buy!especially if it came with the target grips.I bought a 1953 in about the same condition, all matching nos.,for 350.I cant remember if shipping was included.This was a few years back.

Thanks, Mike, but I have put a set of Hogue grips on it because I like to shoot it, and the grips cover up the S/N. Original walnut grips are like new. I got the gun for Christmas as a teen in '51. Like to see you try that now!

At least $500 around here,Seattle. fyimo's piece would fly away at $650. People would be braking their fingers getting their money out. Just aren't any at the shows. Mostly guy's wandering around with signs poking from the barrels of the BIG BAG they are holding,that would be an assault rifle.
