Hey everyone, this is my first post, after buying my first Smith.
I bought a K22 a few days ago just because how it looked/felt, and how smooth it was. I actually wasn't even looking for a revolver much less a .22lr. It just stood out and I couldn't take my eyes off of it. It has holster wear, the bluing is dull, and there is a nick on the bottom of the grip. It doesn't look abused. It just looks like someone really enjoyed shooting it and did so often. There aren't any scratches anywhere on the bluing. I compared it in the store to a 617, and a Taurus. It just felt right. I can't really describe it. So much better than any .22 I've used, or looked at before. I didn't even know that the K22 was regarded so highly until after purchasing it.
I hope that someone can help me find what year it was made. From digging around on the internet it looks like it is between 1947 and 1952. After figuring out how to count the screws it is a 5 screw. The serial number is K 464XX . Anyways thanks in advance for the help.
