I bought a Kahr CM9 a few months ago and each range trip makes me fell better and better about buying it. Now comparing it with my SD9VE is like comparing apples and ball bearings. The Kahr is half the size a third of the mag capacity and about $100 more expensive to purchase. The value series Kahr CM and CW are to the P series sort of like the SD_VE series of S&W to the SD or M&P.... except the triggers are all DA. long but so smooth action. Looking for a great EDC, small firearm....i recommend the Kahr CM9, CW9 or the CT9.

Wife has a CW-45 and a CW-9. I have a CW-45. All have been faultless and have revolver like triggers.

She packs her 9 everyday and I carry my 45 regularly..

It's good to see a Kahr following here! I just sold my CM-9 last week - in order to get the money to order an S9. I also had zero issues with it - but I especially wanted the rail and front slide serrations + the S9 is a little bigger which'll help me get a better grip on it. I took a hit on the CM-9 but wanted the sale to go thru an FFL. Sure enough, the guy who bought it was delayed, but eventually approved.

Every time I'm in Rural King I look and see the CW45. Was on sale for $279 and I almost got it, but talked myself out of it with the reasoning I do not need another gun. Maybe once the truck is paid off in June I will get one.

I paid dearly for a PM9 back before the the CM9 came out. Wow, did that take the wind out of my sails (sales?). My PM9 is a great gun at twice the price. Since then I have also acquired a CT9. Excellent carry gun with the full size but thin grip -- and the price was right.

I too paid "too much" for all of my Kahr PM's, but there were not the others then. I don't have any regrets at all though.

Kahrs are excellent, and I always have one with me. I had to send the PM 45 back even before break in was done. It came back perfect AND with a trigger job done. It is much lighter and smoother, although I forget what the actual pounds are now. I was called a lier on the Kahr Forum being told no Kahr ever left the factory that light. I gave up on those people. S&W Forum people are great.

I have carried a PM40 off and on for about 12 years, it has given good service and I don't feel undergunned.

My step-daughter bought a Khar 3" 9mm and I did a few load ups
for her for light practice with a few powders that I had, laying around.

W231 and CFE did well in the low range and Unique was best in top fps.

Lots of other powders gave good accuracy, just depends on the
speed you want the ball ammo to be at.
As a note, the Speer 147gr bullet did not do well at a OAL of 1.16"
in this Khar magazine/weapon.

For the Speer Gold Dots, I did well with Unique powder and SR4756.

I have carried my PM909 everyday for years and did my PD quals with it every year. I carry +P+ 115 gold dots and never any failures with ball or GDs or Golden sabers

Owned a CW45 for a while. Trigger was OK but just didn't like grip. Traded for a CW9. The CW9 is my carry weapon.

I have a CM9. It has been very reliable. I sometimes carry it rather than my S&W 649. I have never understood why Kahrs are not more popular. As pointed out above, I think the DA trigger on the Kahr is a lot safer than the trigger safety arrangement on most other striker fired pistols.

My good buddy in Rock Springs bought a PM9 the year they came
out. Has ran well over 5k thru it. Still runs like a champ.

2 years ago I went to see him and shot it. When I got back I found
2 of the CM9's on Gun Broker and bought them.Since I shoot cast
bullets I bought them because of the rifling not being polygonal like
the PM9. I've ran 1500 rounds between the 2 of them and they're
accurate, un-jamable and easy to carry.

One I carry in a Galco OWB holster. The other has a Techna clip.

My only complaint about them is you need a mag loader
because the springs are so stiff on the magazines. I picked up
a couple off ebay.

Thanks for reminding me of the one owned. Bought it for it's size and range of possibility's offered by a micro 9. It is always reliable, but have not mastered the trigger or carried it yet.

My EDC for many years now is a CM-9. I bought it used, so the previous owner had done the "break-in" for me. I've never had a malfunction. The only drawback is the loooong trigger pull. Although smooth, it does take me longer than necessary to get off that first shot.

Two cautions with the Kahr, make sure you have a snug magazine carrier, if carried loose, even in a pocket the rounds have a tendency to migrate out of the magazine. Also some Kahr models, including my P9094N prefer use of the slide release if you get caught with the slide back, not the slingshot reload.

Who carries either the Kahr or a S&W 638, depending on practice.

Glad you are enjoying your CM9. I purchased a PM9 right when they were introduced to market, the only time I have ever jumped on a firearm purchase so early. After the break in period it has been a reliable EDC for me ever since. It is number 1 in my rotation which also includes a .45 XDs, and LCP. The CM series IMHO represents a tremendous value across the board and should be expected to provide excellent service for a long time.

I use an extra Leatherman sheath (nylon) to carry the spare mag.
Where I live they are so common it doesn't raise an eyebrow.

My EDC for a couple years was a Kahr K9, which is expensive but highly recommended! I pocket carried a CM9 until I bought my M&P bodyguard. My CM9 when new was very tight, and on occasion wouldn't hold open after the last round until somewhere around 200-300 rounds. which coincidentally is their break in period. After that it was flawless until the day I sold it. Great little gun!
