I wasn't in the Communications Squadron, so please don't put in drawing, but I spent 20 years in the Air Force Jan 1984-Jan 2004 as an electrician in Civil Engineering. 435 CES Rhein Main AB Germany, HQAFMPC Randolph AFB (special duty), 3 CES Elmendorf AFB, and 49 MMG Holloman AFB

Being a patch collector (2,500 or so) I have this one so don't need another. Anyway, 24 years, three months, 5 days, 11 1/2 hours and some few minutes is all I could stand.

But who's counting. ;) The Air Force thing skipped a generation in my family, for a few reasons. My father and son both retired from the AF but not me.

Thanks for the opportunity! 1981 - 2003 on active duty, then continued to wear the uniform as an Air Force JROTC instructor, 2003 - 2024. Life has been good!

I don't qualify but I did learn to appreciate the Air Force when in 1967 enroute to Vietnam from California our plane had problems with the auto pilot system and we stopped on wake island for repairs....Could not be fixed so they brought another plane in from somewhere and we stayed overnight.....The Air Force had the nicest accomodations us Army grunts had ever seen...They even had a bar on the beach and gave us free drinks the night we were there.....The barracks were like being in a Hotel....and the food was first rate......thumbs up for the Air Force
