I've just bought a KC 4". SA, it shoots fine - DA it is VERY jerky & seems inconsistent. When I cock it normally, it seems fine, but when I cock it very slowly, it's obvious that the hammer cocks back all the way before the cylinder locks in place. After it's cocked, the slightest touch with my fingers and the cylinder clicks into place... Obviously, it's a timing issue. I don't know of any 'smiths' in my area. From the sound of it, is it something that I could possibly try to tackle myself, or is it definately a job for a good smith? If so, does anyone have a guess at how much it'll cost? Also, is it dangerous/stupid to continue to shoot it SA in the meantime. Thanks in advance.
